To disrespect your Artisitic Director is to disrespect your clientele. As clients, we buy into the legacy of Chanel, not a bunch of ugly boardroom politics. To make matters worse, the management of Chanel is insulting the intelligence of their clients with blatant lies that the creation was their own "studio" creation. How is it possible to conceptualize, sew and put together the runway details in 20 days???!!! To sum it up, to have an *I* *B* as CED is to suicide the brand. RIP House of Chanel.

Seeing people discredit Virginie for the haute couture collection was ultimately heartbreaking and infuriating because people were loving the collection after bashing her work for years but couldn't give Virginie her well-deserved flowers. That haute couture collection was amazing but knowing this might be the last collection that respects Chanel's heritage, it felt like a funeral and the end of Chanel from my perspective. Whoever is the next Creative Director has some pretty big shoes to fill. I'll miss Virginie at Chanel so much and I'm young enough to say that her creations were the ones I grew up admiring during my early teenage years.

the first outfit was terrible but looked way better later with the black bodysuit under . the rest was gorgeous. and yes, in the last 3 weeks they can radically alter a collection if they have atelier, beading, millinery, shoes and bijoux all under one roof so to say. the collection was a fresh beautiful approach that i could see on females young and old. whoever pulled together the styling over the last month was genius. thats what haute couture looks like.

It's a mature collection, not Virginie's usual attempt at youthful by adding crop tops. It wasn't sexy - i get it, they need to court their couture clients, Lagerfeld couture shows started with a parade of suits for those clients, then get more creative. I question what couture client would be into those bloomer pants. A few looks, like the capes were reminiscent of Pierpaolo's Valentino. I hate to see her go as she is, kind of, following in Lagerfeld and Chanel's vision of the brand but her collections have lacked innovation. I'm surprised to hear, if true, her collections sells well considering the bazaar looks at the Marseille show, was she pushed to attract Gen Z with those zara-like looks but worse? Chanel needs to be strategic selecting the next creative designer, that designer will have to do 8 distinguishably collections a year and keep the couture clients coming back for more. I think Pierpaolo should be considered. The top of my list may not want to leave where he is currently very successful (and perhaps Chanel could be resistant due to his past) yet this designer would probably take on this prestigious position - Galliano would certainly live up to the task, we've seen how he elevated Dior and would be exciting to see his vision of Chanel. I'm a huge hedi fan but don't think he is right for Chanel.

I also noticed that I didn't see the model they usually have, and was wondering... was Virginie the influence for keeping the inclusivity on that aspect? I see and I am so happy to see diversity in the colors of skin, but the diversity in body shapes (sorry can't find words to say it in a more elegant way...) that is missing, I now think Virginie was so underappreciated, she had so much influence on aspects that we don't even imagine! I was in tears while and after watching the show, it was 10 min of sadness, a rollercoaster of emotions and I could see the models somehow felt that way too? or was it just the environment or just in my head? ... This was a very intense show. I really do like most of the pieces in the show but if I were a client I would have a hard time making a purchase since I don’t want to pay for something that isn’t properly credited by that artist. After Jaq’s reign is over I hope Chanel and Virginie can come to some agreement for Virginie to come back to design for at least some of the shows. The creative team can design the ready to wear but Virginie should design the haute couture in the very least to maintain Chanel’s heritage.

Chanel's treatment of Virginie is absolutely absurd. I wrote the same thing on Chanel's Instagram, it is impossible to create a haute couture collection in 2-3 weeks, the designer does or does have to supervise the designs much earlier and that Chanel was lying. People like parrots repeating lies in the comments, completely absurd.
